MT Propeller

MT Propeller EASA STC for 7-bladed Propeller on Shorts SC7 Atting October 2021 - World's first 7-bladed MT-Propeller - The Silent 7 - MTV-37-1-E-C-F-R(G)/CFR228-54( ) is now supplemental type certified by the EASA on the Shorts SC7 powered by two Honeywell TPE331-2-201A Honeywell TPE331-2-201A* engines modified according to FAA STC SE383CH propeller turbines.

The Silent 7 defines a new level of comfort, performance, so far never experienced on any turboprop aircraft before.

The world's first 7-bladed MT-Propeller - The Silent 7 - is now supplemental type certified by EASA on the Shorts SC7 powered by two Honeywell engines modified according to FAA STC SE383CH propeller turbines.

When starting developing the world's first 7-bladed propeller for general aviation in 2016 MT-Propeller had the same vision like in year 1999 when we came up with the first 5-bladed prop for turbo props. The 5-bladed prop became an industrial standard with more than 2500 propeller sold for various kinds of turbo props and it is still an ongoing success story.

MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht says that the installation of the brand new MTV-37 Propeller on the propeller turbine driven aircraft Shorts SC7 features the following advantages:

- Best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation

- Bonded on nickel alloy leading edge for best erosion protection of the blades

- Shorter take-off distance by approx. -5 % (SL, ISA conditions)

- Enhanced climb performance by approx. 10 % (SL, ISA conditions)

- Unlimited blade life

- FOD repairable blades

- Quicker engine start, reduced ITT / EGT during engine start.

- Significant inside and outside noise reduction

- Comply with the strict German noise regulations 2010 - „Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung“ for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European Countries
